Deep Purple tribute band ‘Deeper Purple’ will perform live, in concert, in Sabinillas on Saturday, 22nd June, as part of their 10th Anniversary UK/Spain/Germany Tour.

This free concert, presented by Manilva Council’s Foreign Residents Department, will be held in Plaza Vicente Espinel, from 8.30 pm, with the bands 80ERS and Ramdel opening in support. Ringmaster for the evenings is Talk Radio Europe’s Giles Brown.

Formed in southern Spain in 2014, Deeper Purple has been a regular act in both Spain and the UK, with annual UK tours since 2016, delivering an incredibly authentic tribute to the legends of Classic Rock who have inspired generations of musicians and fans for over fifty years! If you enjoy your music loud and proud, the Deeper Purple show brings you the true essence of these rock giants with over two hours of electrifying performances. Expect energetic renditions of hits like ‘Highway Star,’ ‘Black Night,’ ‘Woman from Tokyo,’ ‘Child in Time,’ ‘Perfect Strangers,’ ‘Mistreated,’ and, of course, their iconic anthem ‘Smoke on the Water.’

The band boasts an international lineup featuring charismatic Italian vocalist Luca Ravase (now residing in Greece), Spanish guitarist Rob Sas, German drummer Thomas Hauser, and two British musicians: Phil Crombie on bass and David Chapman on keyboards and backing vocals. In 2020, former Rainbow keyboard player Paul Morris joined Deeper Purple, completing a UK tour with them and appearing in several videos created during the Covid lockdown. Additionally, ex-Rainbow vocalist Doogie White occasionally guests with the band and features in one of their lockdown videos.

This concert is sponsored by Manilva Town Hall, Pro Steel Engineering, and Central FM.
