Andalucia Climbing Cup

Manilva will once again welcome some of Andalucía’s best climbers when the Copa de Andalucía de Escalada de Dificultad, Andalucia Climbing Cup, returns to the municipality on Saturday 26 and Sunday 27 September.

The competition will take place at the Rogelio Pascual López Climbing Wall and will be the opening round of the 2026 Andalucian Lead Climbing Cup, organised by CD GRUCAM (Grupo Caliza de Manilva) and Manilva Town Hall in conjunction with the Andalusian Federation of Mountain Sports, Climbing and Hiking (FADMES).

Competition begins on Saturday 26 September, with the U9, U11 and U13 categories competing during the morning, followed by U15 and U17 in the afternoon. On Sunday 27 September it will be the turn of the U19, Absolute, Veterans and Promotion categories, with competition taking place during the morning.

Manilva also hosted the opening round of the competition in 2025, when the event attracted a particularly strong entry in the younger categories. Mar Carreño and Fernando Prieto took the respective women’s and men’s overall victories.

The Manilva event is the first of three rounds making up this year’s Copa de Andalucía de Escalada de Dificultad. The second will be held in Estepona on 24 and 25 October, followed by the final round in Huelva on 21 and 22 November.

Registration for the Manilva event is open until 11.59 pm on Monday 14 September.
