Verbena de San Luis

Sabinillas will celebrate its patron saint, San Luis, with two days of live music, religious tradition and festive activities on Saturday, 22 August, and Tuesday, 25 August 2026.

The celebrations will combine an evening concert with the traditional events held on San Luis Day, including an early-morning musical parade, Holy Mass, a procession through Sabinillas and dancing in Plaza Vicente Espinel. San Luis Day is celebrated annually on 25 August in honour of the patron saint of Sabinillas.

Saturday 22 August

The festivities begin at 10.30 pm with a live performance by Aguardiente.

The group will provide a lively evening of entertainment featuring a festive repertoire of rumba, pop-rock and popular music.

Tuesday 25 August

The main day of the San Luis celebrations begins at 8 am with traditional dianas and a musical parade through Sabinillas, accompanied by the Charanga de Cádiz.

At 8.30 pm, a Holy Mass will be celebrated in honour of San Luis, with the service sung by the Choir of Manilva’s Municipal School of Music.

Following the Mass, the image of San Luis will be carried in procession through the principal streets of Sabinillas, accompanied by the Municipal Band.

The celebrations will conclude from 10.30 pm with music and dancing in Plaza Vicente Espinel, featuring a live performance by the duo Malacar.

The Verbena de San Luis offers residents and visitors another opportunity to enjoy the warm summer evenings in Sabinillas while taking part in one of the town’s most important traditional celebrations
