The Spanish Met Office has issued a Weather Alert for the Costa del Sol tomorrow, Wednesday 4th February, with Storm Leonardo expected to give us heavy and persistent rain overnight and during the day, especially in the provinces of Malaga and Cadiz.
Coupled with the already waterlogged ground this is likely to lead to flooding, so be careful out there, and only venture out if necessary.
The Junta de Andalucia has ordered the closure of all schools, and many council facilities will only have essential staff.
The Campo de Gibraltar area is under a Red Alert for tomorrow, with many parts of the western Costa del Sol expected to see the same.
Only travel if absolutely essential, and those of you expecting to fly in or out of Gibraltar or Malaga tomorrow should check with the airlines or airport information.
