This year’s Moon Festival will be held on Saturday, 13th July, in Plaza del Cali, on the promenade in Sabinillas.
Starting at 9.00 pm, attendees can enjoy aerial acrobatics, street parades, a market, live music, and a DJ.
Schedule:
8.45 pm. Batucada parade from the summer market to Cali Square.
9.00 pm. Opening of the Moon Festival, official toast, and wine tasting.
9.30 pm – 11.30 pm. Stilt walker parade begins.
9.45 pm. First aerial show performance.
10.00 pm – 11.00 pm. Music on four stages.
11.00 pm. Second aerial show performance.
11.15 pm. First 80s concert performance by the group Kassia.
12 midnight. Greeting from the Government Team.
12.05 am. Ball launch and various shows. Music with DJs.
12.30 am. Second 80s concert performance.
The Mayor of Manilva and head of Public Security, José Manuel Fernández, has issued a decree prohibiting the sale, distribution, and release of “Chinese lanterns†and any other devices that could cause a fire during the Moon Festival.
Both the Local Police and the Fire Service warn of the dangers associated with launching any device that could start a fire.
