Each summer, the beachfront of Sabinillas transforms into a sea of white and wonder as Manilva’s popular Full Moon Festival returns to enchant residents and visitors alike. With the full moon rising over the Mediterranean, at around 10.30 pm, and music drifting along the paseo, this magical evening has become one of the Costa del Sol’s most anticipated events.

Held during the warm glow of the July full moon, on Friday 11th July, the festival invites everyone to dress in white and soak up the beachside celebration. From fire shows and live music to artisan stalls, street performers, and glowing decorations, the entire seafront comes alive in a surreal, dreamlike atmosphere.

Families picnic on the sand, couples dance under fairy lights, and children chase bubbles and balloons as the moon casts its silvery light across the sea. It’s an evening of simple pleasures, community spirit, and coastal charm.

Organised by the Manilva Tourism Department, the Full Moon Festival blends tradition, creativity, and a touch of summer magic—proving once again that sometimes, all you need for a perfect night is music, moonlight, and a little imagination.
