On Sunday, 30th June, a 9-year-old boy and a woman were paddle boarding at Playa de los Toros in Manilva when they got into difficulty.
At 4.15 pm, the emergency services were notified, prompting the lifeguards and rescue team to spring into action.
Fortunately, their swift response ensured that both individuals were rescued safely and without harm.
Incidents like this highlight the risks paddle boarders face, often getting lost at sea and struggling to return to shore due to strong offshore winds and underwater currents.
