Estepona is gearing up for one of its most popular gastronomic events as the XV Ruta de la Tapa “Saborea Estepona” takes place from Friday 17 to Sunday 19 April 2026, bringing together 46 bars and restaurants from across the municipality.
Part of the wider programme of Estepona Vive sus Calles, the tapas route offers a perfect opportunity to explore the town’s vibrant food scene—whether in the historic centre, the marina, or surrounding areas like Cancelada and Bel-Air.
A celebration of local flavour
This year’s edition once again showcases the creativity of Estepona’s hospitality sector, with each participating venue presenting a specially prepared tapa designed to impress both visitors and judges.
The initiative has been welcomed by local officials, who highlighted the strong participation from businesses across both the town centre and outlying districts—underlining the event’s growing importance within Estepona’s social and economic calendar.
How the Ruta works
Taking part is simple. Visitors can collect a “Tapas Passport” from the Tourist Office in Plaza de las Flores, the Cancelada Town Hall office, or any participating venue.
Each time you order a tapa and drink, your passport is stamped. Once you have at least three stamps from different venues, you can:
- Vote for your favourite tapa
- Enter a prize draw featuring dozens of giveaways
Completed passports must be submitted by 21 April.
Prices and opening times
Tapas are offered at accessible, fixed prices:
- €3.50 – tapa + beer, soft drink or water
- €4.50 – tapa + wine
Opening times are:
- Friday 17 April: 8 pm – 11 pm
- Saturday 18 April: 1 pm – 4 pm and 8 pm – 11 pm
- Sunday 19 April: 1 pm – 4 pm

- A hotel stay in Andalucía for two
