Estepona will once again take centre stage in Spanish mountain motorsport from 10 to 12 April 2026 with the return of the XVII Subida de Campeones Estepona–Peñas Blancas, one of the most demanding and eagerly awaited hillclimb events on the national calendar.
The competition will count towards both the Spanish and Andalusian Mountain Championships, as well as the Andalucía Car-Cross Mountain Cup and the Málaga Provincial Cup. It will also host the special Subida de Campeones category, which brings together champion drivers from Spain’s autonomous communities, reinforcing Estepona’s status as a major venue for top-level mountain racing.
A strong local presence is also expected, with around ten Estepona drivers set to take part across the different categories. This year’s official event image is local driver Christian Broberg, who marks ten years since his debut in the race. Since first competing in 2016, Broberg has become one of the standout names associated with the climb and will compete this year with a new technical evolution, the Wolf Mistral prototype, designed to improve both safety and aerodynamic performance on such a demanding course.
