Estepona will come alive with colour and tradition this Saturday, 2 May, as the town celebrates the much-loved Cruces de Mayo. Streets and squares across the municipality will be adorned with beautifully decorated crosses, transforming public spaces into vibrant displays of flowers, craftsmanship and Andalusian heritage.
Organised by the Town Hall’s Fiestas department, the event brings together local brotherhoods, associations and community groups, each creating their own unique installation. From midday, a jury will tour the town to view the crosses, judging them on their design, detail and connection to tradition. Beyond the competition, the celebration offers a chance for residents and visitors alike to wander through Estepona, enjoy the atmosphere, and experience one of the season’s most charming local festivities.
