Visitors to Puerto Sotogrande this week have a rare opportunity to step back in time aboard the impressive El Galeón Andalucía, a full-scale reconstruction of the iconic ships that once connected Spain with the Americas and beyond.
This remarkable vessel is far more than a static exhibit. As a travelling floating museum, it offers an immersive glimpse into life at sea during the 16th to 18th centuries. Visitors can explore multiple decks, walk through the crew’s quarters, and get a real sense of the conditions endured by sailors during long ocean voyages in the age of exploration.
Having already sailed to ports across Europe, America and Asia, the Galeón’s visit to Sotogrande is part of an ongoing international tour—making this a unique chance to experience a working piece of maritime history right here on the Costa del Sol.
