The Casares Town Hall has everything ready for a magical festive season. From 28 November, with the much-anticipated switching on of the Christmas lights, the three centres—Casares, Costa and Secadero—will be filled with activities, excitement and holiday cheer.
As always, one of the most eagerly awaited events for children will be Santa’s Village: three days of pure fantasy where the youngsters can visit Santa Claus in beautifully decorated settings throughout the municipality. There will also be a façades competition, children’s parties featuring the Royal Postmen, and of course, the magical arrival of the Three Kings.
Among the most unique traditions are Casares’ iconic Living Nativity and Secadero’s charming “arrastre de latas,” a one-of-a-kind custom where children drag tins through the streets to call the Kings.
