Bocata Fest returns to Marenostrum Fuengirola on Thursday 6 and Friday 7 August, bringing two evenings of gourmet sandwiches, street food, live music and summer entertainment to the historic surroundings of Castillo Sohail.
Seven acclaimed chefs will serve more than 20 original creations prepared especially for the festival, with a different selection available each evening. The line-up includes Michelin-starred chef Dani Carnero, alongside Diego René, Álvaro Ávila, Álvaro Saura, Reyna Traverso, Mariano Rodríguez and Alberto Vega. Desserts, ice creams and other sweet treats will also be available.
The entertainment begins when the doors and artisan market open at 7 pm. Pop FM will perform popular Spanish and international hits from the 1980s and 1990s on Thursday, while 90 Roll will bring British and international 1990s favourites to the stage on Friday. Both nights will continue with DJ sessions until the festival closes at 12.30 am.
Tickets are available from €6, including booking fees, and visitors select an arrival slot of either 7 pm or 8.30 pm to reduce queues at the kitchens. Once inside, they can remain at the festival until closing time.
