Manilva will host the fifth edition of its Night Charity Trail on Friday 26 June, offering runners and walkers the chance to take part in a night-time mountain challenge through the local countryside.
Organised by the Manilva Sports Department, the event will begin at 9:30pm from Calle Mar in Manilva village. The route covers approximately 10 kilometres with around 400 metres of elevation gain, and participation is limited to 250 people.
The trail is described as a protected cardio event, and all participants must carry either a head torch or flashlight due to the night conditions.
The programme includes trophies for the top three male and female finishers, along with a non-competitive walking category. Refreshment points with water and fruit will also be available along the route.
Race bib collection will take place from 7:30pm at the Town Hall entrance ahead of the start.
Registration is free through the Manilva Sports Delegation office. The event is being supported by several local organisations and emergency services, while also promoting inclusion in mountain sports for children with reduced mobility.
