This Saturday, 26th April 26, the latest edition of Estepona Foreign Residents’ Day will be held from 12 noon to 8 pm in Parque del Calvario. The event will feature twenty-five stands representing foreign communities showcasing traditional products from each country.
The aim of this annual event is to strengthen bonds and promote coexistence among citizens of different nationalities living in Estepona, as well as to share the culture of each participating country, and is a unique opportunity to sample typical cuisine and purchase artisanal products from the participating countries, including Belgium, Hungary, Italy, Malta, the Nordic countries, the United Kingdom, Romania, Ukraine, Morocco, Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Mexico, Paraguay, Uruguay, and Venezuela. This year, Germany, Switzerland, Poland, Ecuador, and France are also joining the celebration.
This year, the ‘Foreign Resident of the Year’ award will go to Johnny Cuellar representing Bolivia, Carlos Stieffel from Argentina, and Teresa Rocío Mateos Torras from Mexico, in recognition of their contributions to the foreign community and their participation over two decades in Foreign Residents’ Day and the ‘Christmas Sweet Contest.’
