In a successful meeting between Manilva’s Mayor, José Manuel Fernández, and Francisco Salado, President of the Provincial Council of Malaga, it was confirmed that Manilva will host an international basketball event, thanks to the strong institutional relationships that have been forged.
On September 6th, at 8 pm, the prestigious Costa del Sol tournament will take place at the Sabinillas basketball pavilion, featuring two major teams: Monaco and Baskonia, coached by Pablo Laso.
Mayor Fernández and Sports Councillor Rogelio Pascual are preparing the facilities to ensure they are in top condition for the event. They aim to provide an exceptional sporting experience for both residents and visitors. Councillor Pascual expressed his gratitude for the efforts made, highlighting that, “Hosting such a significant match enhances our municipality’s sporting reputation and brings extraordinary recognition.”
Organised by Unicaja Baloncesto and sponsored by the Provincial Council and Costa del Sol Malaga, this event will put Manilva in the spotlight of the international sports community.
