Romeria San Isidro

Each spring, Estepona celebrates one of its most traditional and much-loved events: the Romería de San Isidro Labrador. Held in honour of the patron saint of farmers, the pilgrimage brings together locals, families and visitors for a day of devotion, celebration and community spirit in the natural surroundings of Los Pedregales.

Centred around the Hermitage of San Isidro, the romería blends religious tradition with a festive atmosphere. Pilgrims make their way to the site to pay tribute to the saint, while the day unfolds with music, food, dancing and shared moments outdoors. Decorated carts, traditional dress and the presence of horses add colour and character to the occasion, reflecting the area’s deep agricultural roots.

More than just a religious event, the Romería de San Isidro is a celebration of identity and togetherness—an opportunity to honour local traditions while enjoying a relaxed day in the countryside with friends and family
