The local branch of the Royal British Legion will be holding an event to celebrate the 80th VE Day Anniversary, marking 80 years since the end of the II World War in Europe.
Beginning at 11.30 am on Thursday, 8th May, 2025 you are invited to gather in Plaza de los Naranjos (Orange Square) in Sabinillas where, beginning at 12 noon, there will be a service to dedicate the ‘Remembrance Memorial’ which is to be installed as ‘a constant reminder of the service given by all those who served their sovereign and their country’.
Following the service, from 1 pm, attendees can enjoy an afternoon of musical entertainment and a finger buffet at O’Callahans Bar, with some traditional favourites.
Tickets for the buffet are just 5 euros a head, available from members of the Royal British Legion or from O’Callahans Bar. All are welcome.
