Holy Week is approaching and the various Brotherhoods and Guilds have announced the programme of celebrations during the Easter week.
The brotherhood of Cristo del Amor y nuestra Señora de los Dolores has already made public its programme that will begin on Saturday, 16th March, with the proclamation by José Luis Ruiz Pizani, which will take place in the parish church of Sabinillas from 7.30 pm.
22nd March – Friday of Sorrows
Starting at 6 pm the medal ceremony will take place in the church after the holy mass.
24th March – Palm Sunday
At 12.30 pm the Blessing of the palms and olive branches will be celebrated in the Plaza Costa del Sol, followed by mass in the Sabinillas church.
27th March – Holy Wednesday
At 7 pm the crown of thorns will be imposed on the Christ of Love, the foot-kissing will take place, and a mass will also be celebrated in his honour.
28th March – Holy Thursday
At 9 p.m., you can attend the Lord’s Supper in the parish itself, which will give way at 9:30 p.m. to the Via Crucis and the Holy Hour.

29th March – Good Friday
At 5 pm the Holy Offices and the Adoration of the Holy Cross will be held in the Sabinillas church, followed at 9.30 pm with the procession of the Christ of Love and Our Lady of Sorrows.

29th March – Holy Saturday
The Easter Vigil will take place in the Sabinillas church starting at 9 pm.
31st March – Easter Sunday
Starting at 10 am the Holy Mass is celebrated, followed by the Procession of the Risen Lord and the Virgin of Joy.
