Thanks to the generosity of the public in response to the appeal organised by the Duquesa Charitable Society of Saint George, a second delivery of vital items has now been made to flood victims in San Martín de Tesorillo.
This brings the total value of goods provided to almost €23,000, helping to replace household essentials lost in the January floods. Among the items supplied by the Charity are 19 washing machines, 17 cookers, 18 fridge-freezers, 22 dehumidifiers, three industrial cleaners, one space heater, seven hobs, as well as a number of tabletop ovens, microwaves and other much-needed appliances.
This important support has been made possible thanks to the hard work of Jojo France and Katherine Grant, who organised a series of successful fundraising initiatives, the Bernardo Muñoz Store in Sabinillas for managing the logistics and providing a substantial discount on the purchase, and the extraordinary generosity of everyone who contributed.
