The Tourism and Agriculture departments, under the direction of Councillors Dean Shelton and Noelia Muñoz Lopez respectively, have published the programme for the “Saborea Manilva” Gastronomic Fair, which includes something for everyone.
The event will be held in the Plaza de la Vendimia, in Manilva, from Thursday 7th to Sunday 10th December, and all are invited.
Programme
Thursday, 7th December
7 pm. Inauguration of the “Saborea Manilva” Fair with an opportunity to taste the Manilva Wine (the wine will be sold and accompanied with ham and cheese).
8 pm. Inauguration of the Christmasilluminations in the centre of Manilva.
9.30 pm. Christmas concert with Manuel Cortés, Erika Leiva, El Bomba.
11 pm – 2 am.: DJ Pollo.
Friday, 8th December
11.30 am. “Saborea Manilva” Stalls open.
11.30 am. Manilva Wine Competition: meeting and deliberation of the Jury on the wine samples by category.
12 noon. Guided tasting of oils, cheeses and wine from Sabor a Málaga.
12 noon to 2 pm. Children’s workshops: making cookies to bake at home and making grape bunches with different materials.
2.30 pm. Free tasting of Carrillada by those attending the “Saborea Manilva” Fair.
3 pm. Reading of the Jury Minutes and the wine competition awards ceremony.
5 pm. Children’s theatre “The Nightmare Before Christmas: Jack’s Strange Christmas”.
6.30 pm. Performance by the Jéssica Quiñones School of Body Expression.
8 pm. Musical Performance “Mala Hora”
10 pm. DJ Pollo.
Saturday 9th December
11 am. The Ronda and Málaga Wine Route celebrates the Wine Tourism Festival of the province of Málaga with the Descorcha Campaign. Manilva will participate with the activity: NILVA Wine Experience at CIVIMA (duration 2 hours).
11.30 am. “Saborea Manilva” stands open.
12 pm. Guided tasting of agricultural products from Sabor a Málaga and presentation of the Calma Eladio project.
12 noon – 2 pm. Children’s workshops: Making kitchen hats and Making bread to bake at home.
2.30 pm. Free Paella for those attending the “Saborea Manilva” Fair.
4 pm. Christmas baking contest. From 3.30 pm to 4.15 pm the pastries will be received, with the prize being awarded at 4.30 p.m.
5 pm. Parrandas performance.
8.30 pm. “Long Play” musical performance.
10.30 pm. DJ Pollo.
Sunday 10th December
9.30 am. Viñas de Manilva, in collaboration with the KRUOS of Manilva.
11.30 am. Stand openings of the “Saborea Manilva” fair.
11.30 am. Fried cakes with chocolate.
12 pm. POPI National Ham Cutting Competition. Charity contest. By donating 3 kilos of non-perishable food, you can sample a plate of ham.
2.30 pm. Musical performance “LOVE TO SING” choir.
4.30 pm. Zambomba musical performance by the Peña Flamenca de Manilva.
6 pm. Musical performance by the group “Sarmiento”.
