Paella contest in Estepona

Estepona Town Hall has announced the return of its Paella Competition, with the second edition set to take place on Sunday, 31 May in Parque Municipal El Calvario. The event aims to celebrate local gastronomy and the rich tradition of rice dishes, while showcasing the quality of locally sourced ingredients and bringing the community together.

Open to adults participating individually or in groups, the competition will feature up to 20 entries, allocated on a first-come, first-served basis. Contestants will prepare a minimum of 50 portions of their chosen paella, which will then be available for the public to enjoy from 2 pm at a fixed price of €5 per serving.

Designed as both a culinary contest and a community event, the day promises a lively atmosphere where visitors can sample a variety of paellas while enjoying the social side of one of Spain’s most iconic dishes.
