Estepona Town Hall has unveiled an expanded programme of events to mark International LGBTQ+ Pride Day, with a full week of cultural, educational and celebratory activities taking place from 15th to 20th June.
The programme, organised jointly by the Ayuntamiento de Estepona and drag artists Débora Men and La Camacha, will include art exhibitions, workshops, literature, cinema, talks and the town’s traditional Pride parade through the centre of Estepona.
Activities will begin on Monday 15th June with the opening of two exhibitions at the Escuela de Adultos, including an artistic exhibition by José Larios and another entitled “La raíz del orgullo”.

Monday 15 June, 8 pm

Wednesday 17 June, 8 pm
Literary presentation of El Reflejo de los que fuimos by Ángel Rovira, also at the Escuela de Adultos.
Thursday 18 June, 7 pm to 10 pm
Banner-making workshop at the Escuela de Adultos.
Friday 19 June, 8 pm
LGTBIQ+ talk on the principles of drag/transformismo at the Escuela de Adultos.
At 10 pm, outdoor screening of the film Pride at Parque Orquidario.
Saturday 20 June
The Pride parade leaves the Orquidario at 7 pm, following a route through Calle Terraza, Plaza de las Gaviotas, Paseo Marítimo, Avenida España, Calle Santa Anta, Calle Villa and behind the Town Hall, finishing at Plaza del Reloj. Arrival is expected at 8 pm, followed by the flag raising at 8.15 pm, the proclamation by Aurora “Charlie” at 8.20 pm, and the Pride party from 8.30 pm until midnight.
