Casares will celebrate its eagerly awaited summer feria from Thursday 30 July to Sunday 2 August, bringing four days of music, dancing, attractions and traditional festivities to the historic white village.
Unlike many fairs held in purpose-built grounds, the Casares Feria takes place throughout the heart of the old town. Colourful decorations and fairground attractions will fill the streets from El Llano towards Peñón Rodao, while the Plaza de España, La Carrera and the youth area become lively meeting places for residents and visitors.
The programme combines traditional celebrations with orchestras, DJs, children’s entertainment and free live concerts. This year’s musical highlights include three stars from the television series La Reina del Flow and a major Saturday-night performance by Spanish singer Merche. The public events and concerts advertised as part of the municipal summer music programme are free to attend.
The build-up to the Feria
The celebrations begin before the fair officially opens, with live music helping Casares get into the festive spirit.
On Monday 27 July, Las Carlotas will perform in Casares, bringing their distinctive blend of flamenco, sevillanas and Andalusian music to the village.
The pre-feria programme continues on Wednesday 29 July with No Me Pises Que Llevo Chanclas, the popular Andalusian group known for its humorous lyrics and unmistakable “agropop” sound.
Thursday 30 July
Thursday marks the official beginning of the Casares Feria.
The village will be transformed with lights, decorations, music and fairground attractions, while the opening-night celebrations bring residents and visitors together in the historic centre.
The Casares Feria traditionally begins with a colourful street parade featuring music, entertainment and characters for younger visitors, followed by the official coronation of the Feria’s Courts of Honour. Music and dancing will then continue into the early hours, with orchestras in the centre and DJs entertaining the younger crowd in the El Llano area.
Friday 31 July
Friday will bring one of the most anticipated nights of the 2026 programme when Kevin Bury, Jay Torres and Juan Palau perform in Casares.
The three Colombian actors and singers are well known to viewers of the hit television series La Reina del Flow. Their appearance promises an energetic evening of Latin rhythms, urban music and songs associated with the internationally successful series.
The Feria atmosphere will continue throughout the village, with fairground attractions, music, dancing and DJs providing entertainment into the night.
Saturday 1 August
Saturday is expected to be the busiest night of the Casares Feria, with Spanish singer Merche appearing as the headline performer.
The Cádiz-born artist has enjoyed a successful career spanning more than two decades and is known for songs including Abre tu mente, Eras tú, Cal y arena and No me pidas más amor. Her free concert will be one of the main musical events of Casares’s summer programme.
The official Feria programme also promotes the spectacular themed event La Fiesta Prohibida de los Dioses, bringing an additional combination of music, visual entertainment and party atmosphere to the celebrations.
Alongside the concerts, visitors can enjoy the fairground attractions, bars and restaurants, traditional dancing and the lively youth area.
Sunday 2 August
The Feria will conclude on Sunday with a more traditional Andalusian atmosphere.
The closing day of the Casares Feria is traditionally celebrated as Domingo Rociero, when residents and visitors dress in flamenco and country-style clothing and gather to enjoy music, dancing, food and time with family and friends.
The daytime celebrations will gradually give way to a final evening of orchestras, DJs and fairground fun before Casares brings another memorable summer feria to a close.
A unique Feria in the heart of Casares
Casares Feria offers an experience quite different from the larger fairs found elsewhere on the Costa del Sol. Its setting among the narrow streets and whitewashed houses of the historic centre creates an intimate and welcoming atmosphere, with entertainment spread throughout the village rather than confined to a single fairground.
Visitors should wear comfortable footwear and allow extra time for parking and walking into the centre. Arriving early is particularly recommended for the Friday concerts and Merche’s headline performance on Saturday.
Individual times and locations may be updated by the organisers, so visitors are advised to check the latest daily announcements from Casares Town Hall before travelling.
Casares Feria 2026 takes place from Thursday 30 July until Sunday 2 August, with free concerts, traditional celebrations and entertainment for all ages.
